Name:    Spinosaurus aegyptiacus Tooth
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Tegana
Location:  Taouz, Morocco
Size:  Tooth is 2.25 inches long

This is a very nice Spinosaurus aegyptiacus tooth from the Cretaceous of Morocco. Spinosaurus may have been the largest carniverous animal to have ever walked the earth. This sail-backed dinosaur was popularized in the movie ''Jurassic Park III''. This tooth is extremely 3-dimensional and has fine form. The corrugated, reddish-brown enamel of the tooth is well preserved and a portion of the root is still intact. The very tip of the pointed tooth exhibits only a slight amount of natural wear, and the ''cutting edges'' of the tooth are quite distinct. This is a great tooth from a large, meat-eating dinosaur.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
