Name:    Carcharodontosaurus saharicus Tooth
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Tegana Formation
Location:  Taouz, Morocco
Size:  Tooth is 2 inches along curve

This is a very nice dinosaur fossil. It is a beautiful Carcharodontosaurus saharicus tooth from the Cretaceous of Morocco. Carcharodontosaurus was a very large, ferocious, meat-eating dinosaur. This colorful tooth has great shape preserved. Some serrations along both cutting edges of the tooth are present (hard to see in photo), and the very tip of the tooth exhibits only a minute amount of natural wear from use. The tooth has a long root still intact, which is quite unusual. This is a very cool example of a tooth with root from this giant carniverous dinosaur from Africa.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
