Here is an excellent specimen of a tooth from Triceratops horridus, the classic ceratopsian, or ''horned dinosaur''. The 3-dimensional tooth is free of matrix and has nice, whitish coloration. A substantial portion of the root is still intact. The pointed top of the tooth is beautifully displayed, and the enamel are very distinct. The tooth is nicely showcased in its own display case with label (not pictured). This is a very fine Triceratops tooth from the famous Hell Creek Formation.
