Name:    Anhanguera sp. (Pterosaur Tooth)
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Tegana Formation
Location:  Taouz, Morocco
Size:  Tooth is 1.2 inches long

Here is a very fine specimen of an Anhanguera tooth from the Cretaceous of Morocco. Anhanguera was not a true dinosaur, but rather a pterosaur, or ''flying reptile''. This tooth is well preserved and very 3-dimensional. The corrigated detail of the enamel is still intact. The wonderful redish-brown color of the tooth is totally natural and quite striking. This is a very good example of a large pterosaur tooth with fine detail.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
