Name:    Triceratops porosus Tooth in Matrix
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Hell Creek Formation
Location:  South Dakota
Size:  Tooth is 1.1 inches long

This is a very displayable dinosaur tooth. It is an excellent Triceratops porosus tooth in matrix from the Cretaceous of South Dakota. This type of herbiverous dinosaur is a ceratopsian, or ''Horned Dinosaur''. This extremely 3-dimensional tooth exhibits superb detail. The long root is intact, and the enamel is well displayed. The ''chisel-pointed'' edge of the sculpted tooth is easily seen, and the ''blades'' of the tooth are beautifully preserved. The tooth has excellent color and contrast and is wonderfully perched on the large block of natural matrix. This is an outstanding specimen of a tooth from this classic horned dinosaur.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
