This is a very impressive vertebrate fossil. It is a very large Keichousaurus hui from the Triassic of China. This dinosaur-like reptile is wonderfully preserved and exhibits fine detail. The head, long neck, body, and lengthy tail are all beautifully displayed. The limbs of the reptile are wonderfully exhibited in a ''splayed'' position, and even a few teeth are easily seen. The black bones of the fossil contrast nicely with the light-grey matrix. The reptile is well showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a very displayable example of this classic Triassic reptile.
