This is a fabulous example of a complete vertebrate fossil. It is a large Keichousaurus hui from the Triassic of China. This dinosaur-like reptile is very well preserved and exhibits fine detail. The head, long neck, body, limbs, and lengthy tail are all present. The limbs are beautifully displayed in a splayed position, and almost all of the tiny digits of the feet are present (rare). Even the teeth are seen in the skull (hard to see in photo). The Keichousaur is almost perfectly centered on the large, rectangular plate of shale. This is an extremely fine, top quality example of this dinosaur-like reptile from the Triassic Period.
