This vertebra is fully free of matrix, is very 3-dimensional, and has great form. The bone structure is beautifully preserved, and almost all of the vertebral processes are present. The bone is extremely detailed, and the natural reddish-brown color is quite striking. This is a very collectible reptile fossil from the Cretaceous.
