This is a very nice dinosaur bone. It is a large toe bone from the Jurassic dinosaur, Allosaurus fragilis. Allosaurus was a large carniverous dinosaur, the predicessor to the T. rex. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous Valverde Collection of Fine Fossils. The bone has excellent shape and form. The fine preservation of the bone is amazingly detailed. There is a small section of fill on the ventral side of the bone, but it can only be detected under magnification. This is a very distinct fossil from a classic Jurassic dinosaur.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
