This is a very large Mosasaurus sp. tooth from a new site in the Cretaceous deposits of Morocco. This tooth is extremely 3-dimensional and wonderfully preserved. A portion of the root of the tooth is still present, and the very tip of the tooth exhibits only a slight amount of natural wear. The shiny, dark brown tooth displays the corrugated enamel in beautiful fashion. The tooth is nicely perched on the small piece of natural matrix. This is an excellent tooth from this ferocious marine lizard.
