Name:    Mosasaurus anceps Tooth
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Mosasaur Beds
Location:  Morocco
Size:  Tooth is 1.7 inches long

Here is an excellent specimen of a mosasaur tooth. This is Mosasaurus anceps from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This large marine lizard tooth is very robust and exhibits fine detail. The corrugated enamel of the tooth is beautifully preserved, and the very tip of the tooth is near perfect. A portion of the root of the tooth is still intact. The fossil has wonderful color and contrast and is well centered on the large oval plate of matrix. This tooth has not been ''placed'' - it is totally natural to the matrix. This is a very displayable example of a tooth from this ferocious marine reptile.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
