Here is a very interesting dinosaur fossil. This is a large section of Triceratops skull headshield (frill) from the Cretaceous of South Dakota. Triceratops was a massive, three-horned, plant-eating dinosaur. This piece is from the rounded edge (border) of the frill - very unusual. The heavy bone has fine form, and even the vessicles are quite evident. And the photo simply does not do this fossil justice! This is a collectible specimen of Triceratops frill from this ''classic'' dinosaur.
