This is an unusual theropod tooth from South America. It is probably a Carnotaurus tooth. Carnotaurus was one of the most unusual carniverous dinosaurs ever identified. This animal displayed a pair of prominent horns above the eyes. The very fine serrations of this tooth are prominently displayed. There is a very interesting wear facet along one margin near the tip. The tooth has great enamel. This is an excellent tooth of this rare dinosaur from Argentina.
Note: Argentina has now banned the export of all fossils. We will strictly abide by and enforce this law - we will not acquire new fossils from Argentina. However, this fossil was collected and exported prior to this law, and can be sold legally.
