Here is a very fine example of a tooth from Triceratops horridus, a herbiverous dinosaur, from the Cretaceous of South Dakota. This type of dinosaur is a ceratopsian, or ''horned dinosaur''. This tooth has very nice color and exhibits wonderful detail. The ''chisel-ponted'' edge of the deeply corrugated tooth is well displayed, and a lengthy portion of the root is still intact. The tooth comes in its own special display case. This is a nice, collectible tooth from this classic horned dinosaur.
