This is a pair of extremely distinct fossil plants. The leaf on the left is Populus wilmattae, a Poplar, from the Green River Formation of Utah. This heart-shaped leaf has a tight, branching base - the venation of the leaf is quite distinct and easily seen with the naked eye. The LONG petiole is still tightly attached to the base of the leaf. On the right side of the plate is a large, partially bug-eaten Allophylus flexifolia leaf. Both leaves display very well on the large plate. This is a very displayable specimen of Poplar and Allophylus leaves from the Eocene of Utah.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
