Size: Fish is 3.85 inches long
This is a fine specimen of Jianghanicthys hubeiensis from the Eocene of China. This fish is large and exhibits great detail. The bone structure is clearly defined, and the scale pattern is even preserved. The dark brown color of the fish contrasts well with the light-colored matrix. The fish is beautifully showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a wonderful example of a Jianghanicthys fish from the Eocene of China.
